The Aim of Care-Co is to provide Creative and remunerative employment for people with disabilities.
Mission:
To make a meaningful and planned contribution to the development of Rodrigues by creating production activities adapted to the needs and abilities of people with disabilities.
Vision : - To see a Rodrigues where the Disabled are given the opportunity to develop and lead as normal a life as possible.
Set-up:
The Care-Co Centre is housed in purpose built premises at Camp du Roi – which is a 5 minute walk from Port Mathurin- the Port and main town of Rodrigues. It is on a local bus route and thus easily accessible.
There are several departments.

The Beekeeping and Honey processing department operates throughout the year as, during the season when honey is not being produced in the hives, the department makes beekeeping equipment for our own network of beekeepers with disabilities as well as other beekeepers.
Honey From Our Apiaries Has Won Several Awards Including TWO FIRST PRIZES IN CERTAIN CATEGORIES AT THE NATIONAL HONEY SHOW IN THE UK.
The Michael Duggan Model Teaching Apiary is situated on the premises and can be visited.
Other activities
Chain link fencing is produced to order on a hand operated machine and various side products are made to order in the woodwork department.
The Workshop employs up to 15 people with disabilities on the payroll, and graduates from the GPL Centre adjacent take part in training ' on the job'. They are all formally employed under the current regulations of the Mauritian government. The organization is inspected regularly by health and safety officers and the officers of the Labour office in Rodrigues.
The future.
Recently Care-co has established a link with the Francois Leguat Nature Park and Reserve at Plaine Corail.
In order to work towards the future sustainability of the organization.
